What does the role involve?
We are looking for an experienced Head of Community and Content who will actively find opportunities to foster and engage this community of developers and engineers. This role will also lead a small and diverse team that includes Content Marketing, Events Management, and Developer Relations (“DevRel”) because we believe each of these roles are critical for plugging into and adding real value to the community.
What would you do in your first 6 months?
•Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to develop the community strategy, which will be central to our go-to-market strategy.
•Identify opportunities to participate in existing developer and engineering communities, and creative ways to engage.
•Develop and foster a SquaredUp community where users come together to share ideas, best practices, “war stories”, and more.
•Acts as the liaison between SquaredUp and its diverse audience of users through digital channels including social media, YouTube, and forums as well as offline, at events.
•Develop and leverage content from the community for storytelling and genuine product marketing.
•Manage a diverse team of Content Marketing, Events Management, and Developer Relations (“DevRel”) to bring this all together.
•Review and uphold SquaredUp’s tone of voice and messaging consistency across all our properties.
What qualities can you bring to SquaredUp?
You’re a self-starter, who can operate without a rulebook, but motivated to define processes that work and scale
You’re an extrovert who thrives on engaging with an audience (digitally and in person)
You have an appreciation for technology and its ability to solve real problems
You’ve successfully developed and nurtured a community of technology users
You have 5+ years’ experience managing a diverse team
You know what “good” looks like in terms of tone of voice and quality of message.
